ELC 4-starGreat news! Parent Pathways' newest Early Learning Center Classroom, the Daisies Classroom, has earned a coveted 4 out of 4 star rating from Qualistar! The other 6 classrooms are 3 stars, but are only 1/10th of a point away from 4. Congratulations to the Early Learning Center Staff for this wonderful achievement! It's because of them that 100 percent of the students' children we serve meet their developmental milestones.

ELC Teacher and babyThe Early Learning Center is a licensed, Qualistar-rated on-site early childhood education for 70 babies of teen mothers who attend the Florence Crittenton School. The agency has a long waiting list, and this conversion of the Parent Pathways lunch/meeting room into a licensed ELC classroom will mean a lot to our teenage clients, who are so dependent on child care to be able to continue their educational journey and increase their opportunities for achieving self-sufficiency. Studies show that lack of child care is the biggest reason teen mothers drop out of high school! (This report by the Colorado Children's Campaign explains.)

The Early Learning Center acts as a "parenting laboratory" where professionals interact with students and their babies to teach young moms how to care for their children and promote their health and development.

These babies are at high risk for a myriad of developmental and societal problems. Strong parenting, health and developmental support in the Early Learning Center gives our little ones the best possible start in life.
