Brittney Romero is the mother of 1-year-old Viviana, who has a beautiful smile.
"The most special thing about my daughter is her smile, the look in her eyes knowing I'm her mother."
"Becoming a teen mother has changed my life," she says. "I have a different outlook now. I have to make the best out of life not only for me now, but for my daughter as well. After having my daughter I have been motivated to make the best of life, finish school, go to college and be the best example for my daughter that I can be."
Brittney credits the Florence Crittenton School for getting her on track. "When I first came here I was clueless on what to expect as far as being pregnant," she says. "I learned what to do and how to do it. I learned how to take care of babies and children and how to take care of myself after I had my baby."
Brittney plans to study cosmetology at Emily Griffith Opportunity School, and eventually hopes to open her own salon.
Her advice: "Believe in yourself, and don't let anyone or anything bring you down. Trust in the Lord."
