Gladys Williams has a 19-month-old daughter, SarSha, who means everything to her. The most special thing "is when she smiles, and when she tries to say words."
Gladys says becoming a teen mother has made her life harder, but she adds, "I would have given up if it were not for the future of my baby and me."
She is grateful to the Florence Crittenton School for accepting her as a student. "The staff encourages me to do the best I can," she says, while the Early Learning Center allowed her to bring her baby to school so that she did not fall back on her education.
Her plan for after high school is to go to college and pursue a career in nursing and see her dreams come true.
Her advice: "Try your best and focus on what you are looking for, and one day you would your goal. If I can do it, you can, too."
