Janet Coria has a 2 1/2-year-old daughter named Marisol Guzman-Coria. "The things that make up my daughter is her laugh and her cry," she says. "She loves to play jokes on people and make them laugh"
Being a teen mother has affected her because now she has to think for two people, not just one." In everything I do or everywhere I go, my daughter is by me or in a safe place," she says.
Florence Crittenton School and the Early Learning Center helped her to finish high school confident her daughter was being cared for and taught in a safe environment. The Early Learning Center teachers also showed her the right proper way to play with her baby..
Janet hopes to go to college to become a dental assistant, and plans to marry her daughter's dad.
Her advice to others is that being a mom is truly very hard. "At the end of the day, when your child is safe with you and sleeping, you can think to yourself that tomorrow will be a better day, and that your child is the only thing that matters, because he/she depends on their mommy!!"
