Lucero Barrera has a 19-month-old son named Izzac P. Carrillo.

"The most special thing about my son is coming home every day to see his great big smile," she says.

The Florence Crittenton School and the Early Learning Center have helped her as a teen mom by showing her that being a teen mom is not wrong. "It has showed me that I have to take care of my responsibilities as a teenager and a mom," she explains.

Her plans for the future are to get ahead in life with her husband and son. "We will have a great life together," she says.

Her advice: "Take care of yourself and your children. In the end all you have is your family."
