Holiday HelpIng Hands
in 2009 was a wondrous feast of generosity by Parent Pathways' supporters and beaming gratitude on the part of our teen moms and dads and their children.  Despite the economic recession -- or perhaps because of it -- our supporters really came through.

We've never received so many gifts and donations! We were able to give out 106 Thanksgiving baskets, 64 holiday gift and food baskets, and 900 presents to our young parents and their families. Here are the details:

Thanksgiving Baskets

  • We were able to provide Thanksgiving meals to 63 teen families.
  • We had 42 donors, including Wellpoint, Anthem, BNY, Mellon, Zachry Engineering, Malcolm Pirnie, Inc.; the McCormick Family, Farmers Insurance and Sts. Peter and Paul School.
  • Wal-Mart gave out baskets and turkeys to 43 more families at Epworth United Methodist Church.

Sponsor-a-Family

  • We received baskets of food and gifts for 54 young families.
  • Lockheed Martin sponsored 10 more families, including food from King Soopers.
  • Other sponsors included Altitude Wolf Den, Best Buy, University Park United Methodist Church, Adoption Alliance, Bank of the West, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, the Wagner Family, Bighorn Wealth Management, Fast Enterprises, Direct TV, Girl Scout Troop 3521, Zachry Engineering, Yanari Watson McGaughey, PC; CGI, Cherry Creek Investment Club, Brunick Family Foundation, the Mullen Family, Rothstein Kass, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Fast Enterprises, Intrawest Shared Services, Inc.; Lillis Foundation, Malcolm Pirnie, Inc.; the McCormick family, the Vrabel Family (PCL).

Giving Tree

  • Individual and corporate donors fulfilled 900 ornaments with children’s wishes, and thus every Florence Crittenton School student received diapers, clothing and toys.
  • Sponsors included Wellborn, Sullivan, Meek and Tooley , Pentax Imaging , ATA Services, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Zachry Engineering , Merrill Lynch, Acquilano Leslie, Inc., Omni Institute, Jacobs Chase, DPS Human Resources, Stadium Management Co., SteinMart, DPS Dept. of Tech. Services, Franklin Lofts, Click Bank, Fantastic Sams, Rotary, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Gates Corporation, Janus, Colorado Health Institute , SteinMart.
  • Graebel Movers and volunteer Soni Walker graciously picked up the gifts and delivered them to Parent Pathways.
  • An anonymous donor gave 120 $25 gift certificates to Wal-Mart to make the girls and their families’ holiday even better.
  • Two individual donors created holiday goody bags for the girls.

The Colorado Academy sponsored a party for 40 family members of the Florence Crittenton School, which included gifts for children and a generous feast.

Special thanks to 10 Shell Oil volunteers, and 23 volunteers who attended the Gift Wrapping Party

You truly made a difference in many lives this holiday season.
