meet rejeana
Rejeana, 16, an aspiring artist, won the Goodwill holiday poster contest in 2009. She is the mother of Jy’ Air, 2, and lives with her grandmother while she works to juggle young motherhood with finishing high school. Rajeana has had a difficult life. Her mother, despite repeated attempts, was unable to conquer addiction and after a severe car accident several years ago, lives in a nursing home, and her father moved to Texas. Regina gave birth at 14 to Jy’ Air (pronounced jeye-AIR), and has been attending the Florence Crittenton School since. She lives with her son, brother and grandmother in a small home in Denver, and hopes to attend college and pursue a career in art, culinary arts or forensics. Rajeana is creating a cycle of success! |
