Adilene Sanchez has a fifteen-month-old son named Irving.

She said, “Everything about my son is special to me. He is the person I live for everyday.”

Becoming a teen mother changed Adilene.  She said, “I have realized that I cannot do all the things that I wished to do, I have another human being that I need to look after.”

She added, “Think a lot about your actions.  Understand the consequences of random decisions and how they can affect your entire life.”

Adilene has specific plans for her future. She said, “I plan to go to Metro State College and attend the Safety-Cadet Academy, then the Police Academy and get a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.”
