Bianca Muñoz’s one-year-old son Christopher feels her son is gorgeous.
“My son is part Mexican and part Black and because of that he is so special. I am so proud of who I am and who my son is. People need to learn not to judge, especially based on their skin color. We should all just learn how to love and respect everyone”
Being a teen mother affected Bianca in positive and negative ways. “The good things about being a teen mother are that it has taught me to be more mature and responsible, but I also have been judged and grew-up too fast. All-in-all, I love being a mother.”
The Florence Crittenton School helped Bianca in many ways. “It helped me achieve my dream to graduate, motivated me to attend school and get good grades. They also supported me with resources, like giving me diapers when I needed them.”
She added, “I wouldn’t be graduating without the Early Learning Center. They watched my son while I learned in my classes. They also taught my son how to interact with other children, how to crawl and how to be a better person.”
Bianca is planning to go to college and have a career in nursing. She also said, “I would like to have a car and my own house. I also want to have a healthy family and eventually more children.”
