Claudia Lopez’s son Uriel recently had his first birthday, and is very important to her.
“I am happier because my son is in my life.”
Being a teen mother has made Claudia more responsible. She said, “It takes a lot of your time to take care of children.”
She added, “Being a teen mom doesn’t make you a bad person. You realize how strong you can be and how much you are capable of.”
She is thankful for the opportunities the Florence Crittenton School and the Early Learning Center have given her and her son. “Being a student at the school has helped me a lot. I know there are more opportunities for my future because of the help I have received.”
She continued to say, “Having the Learning Center is also a big advantage. My son has learned many new things and he is a really smart boy because of the help he has received.”
Claudia plans to find a job after graduating and save money so she can attend college.
