Crystal Medina’s twenty-two-month-old daughter Diamond changed her life.
“I love my daughter and everything about her is special to me. She had the power to engage my whole life and everything around it the day she was born.”
Being a teen mother changed the way she looks at her life. She said, “It made me more responsible and above all made me motivated to do whatever I needed to do to give my daughter a good life.”
She added, “Don’t let being a mother stop you from your dreams. Now you have someone to share your dreams with for the rest of your life.”
The Florence Crittenton School and the Early Learning Center supported Crystal in all of her goals. She said, “The School has helped me by pushing me to do my best. They also helped my daughter in the Learning Center and because of this opportunity I was able to come to school and concentrate on my work”
Crystal has already been taking classes for college credit while she has been completing her high school degree, and she has plans to continue her education. She said, “I plan to go to college and major in business. I want to have a restaurant. I also want a house of my own and I am on my way of getting it.”
