meet genevieve

Genevieve Guzman has a one-year-old daughter, Adeline, who is better known as Addie.

She said, “Everything about Addie is special to me. Everything from the way she talks to what she has done for our family.”

Becoming a teen mother has been a motivation for Genevieve.  She said, “It has matured me and motivated me to make something of myself. It has also brought me great happiness.”

She continued, “I would like to encourage other teen mothers to continue their education and provide your child with the best life you can. Also, do not let others put you down, because, unlike some, we have an extra challenge, but we’re doing just as well, if not better, than them.”

Genevieve is thankful for the opportunities the Florence Crittenton School and the Early Learning Center have offered her. She said, “The School offers certain classes that provide information on different choices of parenting, which has been very helpful.”

She also said, “The Learning Center has contributed to Addie’s education and intelligence. It has also helped her socialize with other children.”

Genevieve has plans for a successful future. She said, “I plan to continue my education, then have a successful career. I plan to buy a house for Addie and I, and raise her to be a wonderful person. I plan to be the best mother I can be and make the most of my relationship with my daughter.”
