meet kasara

Kasara Albert has a one-year-old son named Dominque, whose smile is the light in her world.

“When he smiles, his eyes smile too.  I will do anything to make him smile, and my hope for him is that he smiles everyday - that he will always be happy and proud of himself.”

Being a teen mother has made Kasara stronger and live her life for a reason.  Her son has helped her to grow-up and realize what is really important in life.  Kasara believes that you should, “Live life to the fullest and have fun on the way.”

Kassara also has some advice for others who might become teen mothers, “It is going to be hard – but you can do it!  Believe in yourself and finish high school to make a better future for you and your child.  Always think of your child first.”

She said, “I am so thankful for the Florence Crittenton School and the Early Learning Center and for all the help they have provided me.”  The Early Learning Center helped Kasara to be closer to her son and having this opportunity helped her to finish high school.  “It has allowed me to create a brighter future for both of us.”

She also has plans to go to college and further her education.  She wants to have a career and support her family.  She wants to study Early Childhood Development in order to gain knowledge about the stages of child development so that she can be the best mother for her son.

She said, there are always going to be hard times, but when you are a mother there are more good times because your child is always there to pick you up.  “My son is there to light the way.”
