thanksgiving baskets

Parent Pathways is a Denver-based not-for-profit agency that helps teen parents raise healthy families. Through our comprehensive services we address their needs in areas such as education, employment, and parenting support.   For many of the young families served by Parent Pathways, this Thanksgiving will be their first holiday in a safe, comfortable home. These families are working hard to improve their situations and become self-sufficient.  They are two parent households working at minimum wage jobs that leave as little as $125 a month to feed a family of four.  They are single moms and dads juggling parenting, school and employment.

This important project can provide a family with all the ingredients for a bountiful holiday.  Your support will help to provide a holiday meal for over 100 families served by Parent Pathways.  Your family, company, church, club, school or other group agrees on the number of baskets that they can supply.  Parent Pathways provides timely pick-up of your contribution or arranges for you to personally deliver it to a young family or families by November 22nd.

We suggest that each basket (a sturdy plastic laundry basket is recommended) include:

A $25 Gift Certificate to any local supermarket 
        (Approximate cost to purchase a turkey and two pies)        
2 16oz. cans Cranberry Sauce
3 6oz. boxes Stove Top Stuffing
2 14oz.boxes Instant Mashed Potatoes
2 15oz cans of each … Corn, Green Beans & Peas
2 26oz. cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 49oz. can Chicken Broth
1 large bag or can Fancy Nuts
1 bag or box Assorted Chocolates
1 Dozen Apples
1 Dozen Oranges
Cornbread mix                           

Don’t have time to do all the shopping?  We also accept cash donations or gift certificates.
